The Last Puppet Show

Following yesterday's expert ID of the presidential cheatpiece, today Salon has an interview with a countersurveillance specialist (who worked for several presidential cabinets, reportedly including the elder Bush's) who says, "I have personally sat outside the White House with lab-grade testing equipment -- and have cataloged, monitored and confirmed that wireless monitors are being used." Vanessa Kerry seems to take a hard post-debate look at the president's still-bulgy back. Bush campaign manager Ken Mehlman responds to persistent questions about the box-bulge with degrading whimsy: "The president is an alien. That's your quote of the day. He has been getting information from Mars."

A Washington Post writer worries that the White House's failure to explain the bulge "risks perpetuating an image of Bush as a puppet." Isn't the presidential image something for the White House to worry about? Reporters should worry about whether the president really is a puppet.

Salon also notes Drudge's mysteriously total silence on the topic.

Did anyone else notice that John Kerry began delivering some answers directly into the camera about halfway through? Soon thereafter, oddly enough, W started looking into the camera, too! Not very successfully, because his eyes kept drifting off to the side. But where'd he get the idea?

Although the technology stories may provide real proof, I think linguistic and videographic analyses will also give it away. One reason this story has gained widespread credence already is because it's more like a sense perception than it is a "theory." It's something you notice with a start -- a moment where you see the listening look as Bush gets a phrase or reminder and tries to recite it before he forgets. At these times his speech lacks whole-body involvement, and seems to be just coming out of his mouth. (Maybe that's why he had a hard time looking in the camera.) Over the three debates, people saw Bush seemingly listening at times as he was speaking, and even heard him overriding his own speech when a better thought apparently occurred to the voice in his ear. IsBushWired once read that people can recognize in a glance where another person's eyes are tracking, even from a distance of a hundred feet. In the same way, we can take in in one look the meaning of distant-looking eyes, unnaturally placed pauses, stalling for time, and implausible bursts of facts, figures and pompously mispronounced phrases (cf. "an absurd asinuation") from a man who's known never to read.

I recommend you check out this link - http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/printer_101504Z.shtml - in the second picture about halfway down the page (which is a picture of the third and last debate), you can just make out that box-shape under the jacket of Bush AGAIN! The light on his jacket clearly shows the bulge...

Wired or not, this President has lost so much credibility that, for him, the election isn't worth winning. How can a person perceived to be an inarticulate puppet govern?

1st debate: Bush plaintively recites a few campaign slogans.

2nd debate: Bush angrily recites more than a few campaign slogans.

3rd debate: President Giggly.

I guess the question is no longer, "Is Bush Wired?" It is, "Who is the Man Behind the Curtain?" Is it Cheney? Rove? Some kind of committee? I think that's why the mainstream media is not taking the story seriously. They're afraid to see what's behind the curtain.

Or, maybe they already know that the wizard will smite them if they start sniffin' around too much. Scary.

re: the flap over Kerry's remarks about Mary Cheney

The Cheney's may be angry over the implications of an hereditary cause of homosexuality. It may explain their remarks about being angry PARENTS, that is, if either of them were homosexual, they would not have been PARENTS.

I don't think that Kerry implied what the Cheney's may have inferred.

"TEMPE, Ariz. - The Rev. Jesse Jackson breathed new life into the Internet-bred rumor that President Bush [related, bio] had secret audio assistance in the first debate - saying a bulge in Bush’s suit jacket ``looks like something.’’

``We ought to know what it was,’’ the former presidential candidate said. ``We need to know what the object was. It could be nothing. But it looks like something.’’

I agree with Jesse Jackson. What is going on in the Kerry campaign that they cannot call Bush on his cheating in the debates? Our president cheated his way into the presidency and he is STILL cheating, and Kerry is going to just let it go? We all know that Bush has been incredibly rude and disrespectful to Kerry over what happened over thirty years ago....but Kerry doesn’t want to be disrespectful? I don’t get it. We have all heard that the Bushies are about to unleash a new special film attacking Kerry and his actions during the war. Kerry would be simply pointing out the truth, about what is going on RIGHT NOW! Our president is a puppet. The emperor has no clothes! What is Kerry waiting for? Doesn’t he feel the need to remove Bush from office the way the rest of us do?

Most Americans feel that this is a very important election. THIS IS SERIOUS SENATOR KERRY!! You wanted the nomination, now you are supposed to stand up to this evil cabal. What are you doing? It seems you are lending credibility to Bush instead of standing up for the democratic party and our country.

If John Kerry cannot stand up and fight for us, we the democratic party should demand that his nomination be revoked immediately.

Kerry can't demand a strip search of the President of the Unites States of America. What if he is WRONG (and I am SURE the administration would stage it so he is)? This would just make Kerry seem like an insane, power-hungry freak. It is up to his supporters and allies to do this job. I think Jesse Jackson has the right idea. Just wish someone else would speak up. Apparently the American masses are being dismissed as conspiracy theorists (nice to know our opinion matters) and the media isn't touching this fearing shouts of liberal bias.
Sigh...

<< I have a radio receiver the size of a peanut; why would the President have one the size of a Kleenex box strapped around his middle? >>

Don't be so fast to dismiss the large box as a transceiver. Remember, it would HAVE to have hardened, MILITARY-strength encryption capability. They don't put these in peanuts (yet).

My guess is that the prez is wired ALL the time, and the box also needs a couple of fresh D-cell batteries every day. That's why it's on his back. Any other place would be uncomfortable 24/7.

Again, do not be to quick to dismiss this theory. Think about it. The prez was caught like a deer in the headlights when the WTC was attacked. HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. Now he has a little voice in his ear that tells him what to do.

It is a theory, but it explains ALL the facts. If you have a better theory, then post it. But it has to explain ALL the facts.

What I saw on the live feed of the first debate, aside from the "bulge," was what looked like the outline of a coiled wire running up the President's back, to the right of the bulge.

Um, here's a question: Why hasn't anyone mentioned the weird Bush comment during one of his responses in the first debate when he said, to no one in particular, "Let me finish." It was just strange--but not so strange if he had been wired and someone was chatting in his ear while he was trying to complete his thought. NO ONE has raised this issue...

I noticed the "battery pack" looking bulge in Bush's back the night of the first debate, during a camera shot taken from behind the candidates. I thought at the time it was highly suspicious. Someone please pull an actual video tape of the debate and watch it. It is very apparent! What the hell is it? Please someone follow up on this! Don't let them get away with this, with their flippant "little green men over the grassy knoll" responses!

At this moment I still don't
know the correct answer as to
whether Bush used outside help
during debates or not. I do hope
that the White House could come
out with a convincing answer to put
this issue to rest.

However, I'm raising another point
for discussion. Supposed that a politician
used an ear piece, how can
the person behind the scene know
exactly what's happening on the scene?

I guess they can't rely on public
video (TV) or audio (radio) for information
because those sources may not be available
(due to technical difficulties for example).
Moreover, not every speech/event is broadcast.

I don't think the person behind the scene
would be physically near the politician
because somebody else may find out.

In this case, the politician
and the person behind the scene must
have an independent and reliable way to
communicate what's happening on the scene.
I call this the feeding channel.

Now, if the politician is some one
as high profile as the President, wouldn't
they want to make the prompting system reliable
and independent of the existing infrastructure (public TV/audio feeds) too? And wouldn't they want to encrypt the feeding channel too?
Note that somewhere in this website somebody
said TV networks also encrypt their signals comming
out of the debate room, although I guess most
of the TV information contains no secret.

So, is this why Bush had to have something
very big to be able to do both receiving and
sending at the same time? And is it why we saw
a cable running under Bush's tie (which
could connect to a mic that transmits
what Bush's saying back to the person
behind the scene) in the second debate?

i am surprised by the reactions i have received from friends and family when i tell them about the "wired" theory. not one person has been surprised or tried to refute the suggestion.
there have been two popular responses. the first supports the idea that people can sense something was off when president bush spoke. The "wired" theory seems to confirm some sort of suspicion they had while watching the debate. whether their sense was that he was being fed answers or just being his shifty self is hard to discern. the other popular response is along the lines of "i wouldn't doubt it". the president and his administration has heightened the american phenomenon of distrusting politicians. this has dangerous implications that are not only immediate, but go well beyond this election as well.

Check his voice frequencys!

Mybe this device is used to manipulate the human brain.

I noticed many very unusal background sounds and mybe this device adds a special frequence to his speech.

Also if you listen to pro bush arguements they mostly use same words arguements as bush.
Bush special pauses might also be for psychological effects for manipulating.

Conclusion:
Someone feeds him with SPECIAL infos to look inteligent.
And adding special frequencys.

I work on communications protocols. In such a protocol it is important to distinguish between commands and data. In the context of a prompting device, a command would be something like the handler saying, "Please, elaborate on that," while data would be a statement that the President is to repeat. By mixing commands and data on the same channel (the same in-ear speaker), the President easily becomes confused and, at times, repeats a command when he should not.

One solution is to have two channels -- a speaker in each ear. A single speaker could be used if two voices were used: one for commands, another for data. This might be accomplished, minimizing the President's confusion, by using a woman's voice for the commands and a man's voice for the data.

Did anyone else notice an odd moment at the end of the final debate when Kerry and Bush were shaking hands and Kerry patted Bush on the back and Bush seemed to turn quickly away? On the Tonight Show, Leno showed the famous pic to Edwards and asked him what he thought it was. Edwards said, "I think it's his battery." He then said something about maybe having Kerry pat Bush down. I wonder if that's what Kerry was trying to do. I wonder if he felt anything?

Paula Zahn had a poll going on her stations website (is it abc?) asking 'do you believe president bush was using an electronic device during the debate?" The response was something like 120,000 yes, 2000 no when I voted.
I also wonder if anyone else noticed in the second debate that at one point bush said something like, 'I'll be talking about middle class health care in a later question, right now I want to talke about.." which to me implied he (or his handler) knew what the upcoming questions were going to be.

Hopefully this latest dirty-trick will be proven-out before the election to a mass audience understanding of the implications; the legitimacy of this presidency has been questionable from the beginning and now the legitimacy of our government (including the press) is being called into question. The last thing we need right now is a Manchurian-puppet-president pandered to by a “checks-and-balance” system that is easily manipulated. It is more than just an earpiece...

I spent part of last weekend in a retirement home and saw several residents there that have that same half smile, half active facial expression Cheney has. They were victims of a mild stroke, and it is clear that patients with strokes on the right side of the brain had partial paralysis of the left side of the face. This paralysis is most evident when watching the lip movements as they speak, as they will be asymettric. In advanced cases one side of the mouth hangs open and the subject is unaware. These symptoms are also noted in patients with spinal cord injuries and heart attack cases where the patient stopped breathing, or did not receive medical treatment quickly enough and subsequently sustained neurological damage due to lack of oxygen.

Cheney has had 4 heart attacks, all previous to his term as VP that were disclosed. His current medical records are sealed up tighter than those energy policy enron meetings he had with Ken Lay prior to Kenny Boy's indictment.

If you go to
http://bushsbulge.blogspot.com/
there is a picture of cheneys out-of-synch facial expression that is I think, quite convincing with respect to the stroke theory.

Also photo & commentary on George Bush's defibrillator.

Hello everyone,

I sent this email to the New York Times as a response to my request to force an answer from the White House, or even Bush himself on what was in the jacket.

I request fellow citizens write journalists and emplore them to seek the answer on this question before the election. It is clear there is enough evidence to warrant such scrutiny.

...................

Here is the text of my letter to the NY Times (I will leave the names out, keep in mind my numbers are going to get dated by the day):

You are correct, the New York Times has reported on the story about what was in the President’s jacket.

I see this story still in existence. To support this assertion, I have done an informal survey on Google News for the last week to track a few different phrases: ‘bush jacket’ (“Results 1 - 10 of about 744 for bush jacket”), ‘bush bulge’ (“Results 1 - 10 of about 554 for bush bulge” – this one has grown the fastest in the last 2 days), ‘bush cheat’. The number of returned records has increased steadily for all of the phrases save ‘bush cheat’, it has remained steady for a few days (as of today “Results 1 - 10 of about 252 for bush cheat”). Let me say that there is also a mix of articles that just happen to have these combination of words, skewing results day to day; overall the pattern is visible.

Now, as further support for serious scrutiny, I point to this article:

http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/10/13/transmitter/index_np.html

Lastly I see a sustained campaign from the right to characterize this as ‘green men’ and ‘conspiracy’. There is clear evidence Bush is prompted during speeches, how can this be such a stretch? Republicans also went into the debate assuming there were not going to be any camera angles from behind, it was requested.

An example:

http://www.suntimes.com/output/roeper/cst-nws-roep12.html

If you read that article you can see the points are easily challenged, which I did in an email to the author. I have, as of yet, not received a response. I can forward it to you, if you’d like.

But, a better response is this... you telling me the Bush has badly tailored T-SHIRTS too? Now, it looks like there was something in his jacket in the second debate.

>>>> here I placed the photo circulating of the president in his cowboy outfit where you can see the buldge in the T-shirt...

In my opinion, The New York Times, in such a serious election, has a duty to address this situation more. It is no joke to cheat in a debate and there is some serious irregularity here. It is also no joke to levy accusations. There needs to be clarity about this issue before the election. If you recall in 2000, there was a video tape of Bush’s debate sent to Gore... what happened to that story? Wasn’t there an aid to Mark McKinnon which was seen sending it?

Is that going to happen to Americans again?

Call be foolish … IF the tables were turned and a democratic challenger was caught with a patented-debate-cheating-device, would the discussion be left to bloggers or would there be a well organized, articulate, spiteful, PR machine turning out the facts (theoretical or otherwise) through main stream media channels? Bush seemingly washes his hands of this fire and brimstone hate-politics (witness McCain-bashing in 2000) and floats, with glowing halo, while the sewage rages beneath. Should certain democratic challengers fight fire with fire or sh!% with sh!% - whichever the case may be? The earpiece is hard evidence that the halo is fake, the sewage real, and the man a wee bit less than a myth.

Don’t forget, the Republican MO is to barrage the public with negative rhetoric based on half-truths and conspiracy theories. There was something under that jacket and Bush has consistently presented himself as being under the influence of an outside prompter.

I was convinced while watching the last debate that there was some sort of interference or confusion in Bush's earpiece communication. This is what made it so painfully obvious, as opposed to the first 2 debates. Perhaps the CIA, or some other organization with similar skills, jammed the presidents signal in order to make an ass out of him in front of the whole world. I've heard that some in the CIA are on the outs with the administration. I mean what else would cause the comm. system to stumble so miserably in the middle of the LAST debate?

re: "We'll be talking about that in a minute.."

He said that in a final 30 second reply to a Kerry 30 second. It was the last answer to that question.

How indeed could he have known that not 3 questions later this specific topic would come back up?
---
GIBSON: Mr. President?

BUSH: Well, we'll talk about the tax cut for middle class here in a minute. But yes, I'm worried. I'm worried. I'm worried about our country. And all I can tell you is every day I know that there's people working overtime, doing the very best they can. And the reason I'm worried is because there's a vicious enemy that has an ideology of hate.

And the way to defeat them long-term, by the way, is to spread freedom.

Liberty can change habits. And that's what's happening in Afghanistan and Iraq.

GIBSON: Mr. President, we're going to turn to questions now on domestic policy. And we're going to start with health issues.
---

WTF?

And has anyone gone back and actually read the transcripts and compared them to the tapes? When I did tape logging all the um uhs and ahhs were in the transcripts. All gone from the debate transcripts. And you do know that the official texts which are supposedly transcripts of some of Bush's speeches have been editied to leave out particularly embarrasing moments?

Lucas County Democratic headquarters burglarized

The Lucas County Democratic Headquarters was burglarized overnight, and three computers, including the party’s main system, were stolen.

The computers contained highly sensitive information, including the party’s financial information, names and personal phone numbers of hundreds of party members, candidates, and volunteers.

The computers also stored e-mails from candidates that included discussion about campaign strategy.

A second computer, belonging to an attorney-volunteer working to ensure voters’ rights, also was taken, officials said. The headquarters on 1817 Madison Avenue does have an alarm system that volunteers believed they set late Monday when they left.

However, it apparently wasn’t tripped during the night. Workers arriving about 7:30 a.m. yesterday noticed the back window had been shattered and called police.

I'm convinced Bush is wired. It's increasingly obvious he's receiving information from an electronic device so that he can speak about issues he has no capacity to address on his own. There is also evidence he may have had a stroke recently, which would mandate he needs help with his thinking processes.

As I've said on my Blog, Ratfuck Diary (http://ratfuckdiary.blogspot.com),
the Prez cheats or he's sick. Either way, he is unfit to govern.

VP Dick Cheney, who is actually the man in power, is on borrowed time after having had many heart attacks. And the man who will do anything to be re-elected Puppet in Chief is mentally impaired.

Wake up America. Look at what you've got in the Oval Office.

A different theory. Bush has fallen out of favor with the CIA and other actual shadow governments within us.
The photos could be fakes afterall. Setup by the CIA/Insiders to help Bush lose. Strange that ONLY Fox News had great shots of him - other then the Whitehouse one of him in his truck and that could have been easily planted on the White House website months earlier.

Remember the Dave Mathews Band getting "caught" dropping sewage off a bridge on a tour group boat from their bus?
The first time I heard that story - I thought he was being setup. They are settling the case or have settled, but have insisted the whole time they never were near the bridge at that time. They of course are on the Anti-Bush tour. I think that was the last time the CIA offered help for Bush. Now they're against him, and there's nothing Shrub can do about it. Except of course ... Take a look people. It looks like they are monitoring Bush's heart. They are not going to admit if the president isn't feeling well. I still think he's wired because he acts so weird when he's talking. But they wouldn't let it be so obvious if he was wired. It would be stupid. More than likely the wire is behind his tie and the box or whatever is tiny and hideable.

Just take a look. The lump is nothing. It's what you don't see that needs to be worried about. Bush is wired in this Blogger's opinion.

Hence the constant grinding of the jaw by Bush in the second debate. As he begins to recieve signals, he looks down and pretends to be writing so he can process what he's hearing and to obsure any subtle reaction he might have.

the bushwire needs to be covered by the mainstream press. In the meantime, I will speculate that it's a defibrillator pack because Bush has a heart condition called sudden cardiac arrest. www.trunews.blogspot.com

Geez, all this talk about whether President Bush is a puppet concerns me about Americans' intelligence. Let me clear it up for you, Bush is NOT a Mars alien! He is a beady-eyed rodent puppet! Of course he's a puppet. I hope you were all kidding. It's funny how we liberals would like to think we're open minded, yet, we don't understand how anyone could see Bush as anything other than an inarticulate, blubbering, misguided nimbisill.

About the defibrillator - nice red herring there, bushies.

About the bulge being so large, and that there are smaller radio receivers available. Sure there are,
but there aren't small receivers that also include decryption, AND radio frequency shifting algorithms.

About us this being a non-issue and that we have too much free time. Anyone reading this should know by now who they're voting for. Otherwise what the hell WOULD make up your mind? Yes, there are much more important issues to keep up on. But with a continuous stream of bad news about the shape our county is in, who doesn't need a little entertainment every now and then?

Bush was a C student at Yale. When he was told the country was under attack, he continued in a reading group for children. I don't know why we have such an idiot for president.

I blame W. for 9-11. He got a warning in August. He did nothing about it. If Gore were president, I think 9-11 would have been prevented. Dubya has refused to implement the changes suggested by the 9-11 Commission.

He wanted to invade Iraq ever since his father was criticized when he didn't get Saddam. He just made up an excuse to do it. He cares more about his family than he does about the nation or the American people.

This amazing article about the timeline of Bush's activities on 9/11 shows extreme discrepancies between what the White House has related versus the many media reports and eyewitness accounts. The author has researched this incredibly well, making the discrepancies clearly understood. We are under the impression that Andrew Card told Bush of the first plane in the classroom; the timeline and media reports reveal it was the second plane. There were reported to be two attempts on Bush's life on 9/11 before the planes hit the buildings. The American people must know how incompetently this situation was handled by "The War President," who claims to be the one who can lead us in the war against terror.
If you read this article, you will see that protecting Bush was not a top priority on 9/11, but protecting Cheney was. I think that the Republicans that encouraged Bush to run for President really wanted Cheney to be President. Cheney was part of an extreme right-wing group that wanted to invade Iraq years before the 2000 election. Bush was not a member. Many of the members of that group are now part of the Administration. Cheney was not electable due to his medical condition. They feigned a search for V.P., making Cheney the person to lead it, knowing full well all along that Cheney would be the choice. They knew that Bush had a chance to be elected for several reasons. His father was President, he was ambitious, he was a born-again Christian, and he would get support from Republicans and evangelicals across the country. Cheney did not have the personality to be the top of the ticket. Bush, who has ridden his father's coattails his whole life, was not intelligent enough to be President. But that didn't matter. After Bush was elected by the Supreme Court, this group has limited his news conferences to keep him from showing his lack of ability. There are strong reports that Bush has been wired since he started campaigning in 1999. The photographs from the debates are unequivocal. Bush only needed to be fed the lines to appear as if he was making the decisions. On 9/11, it took hours for fighter jets to reach Air Force One, but Cheney was hustled to the bunker immediately. Bush appeared to be out of the loop for several hours, while Cheney was giving orders. Bush showed himself in the first debate. That is the limit of his ability. In debate 2, it is clear that he was wired and being fed the lines. The receiver was strapped to his waist under the first button, with the wire under his tie. HIs suit creased around the receiver when he changed positions while standing. When he shifted his tie, the wire became visible. He shifted something at his waist several times during the 2nd debate, obviously he was uncomfortable. The wire is clearly visible going up the left side of his back. His speech patterns and eye movements indicated he was listening while he spoke. Is Bush the one making decisions, or is it Cheney? Cheney clearly had a better handle on what is going on than Mr. "hard work." Someone needs to investigate who is really running this county. Please read the article at the link below.

After carefully (well, as carefully as everyone else on this website), reviewing the data on this topic, I have to admit THERE IS NO WAY I COULD POSSIBLY DETERMINE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER WHETHER OR NOT BUSH WAS WIRED AT ANYTIME DURING HIS PRESIDENCY! I do take offense to pro-Kerry pro-left B***S*** that has been stated here, such as the fact Bush is well known never to read. I find it amazing that anyone could achieve his level governmental office without the ability/desire to read. But hey, I'm just a simple middle-of-the-road- let-the-FACTS-tell-the-story-ignore-the-opinions kind of guy...

For the person who doesn't understand how we got such an idiot for a president: Because the idiots elected one of their own... in Florida. Sorry to inform you, but in America, the president is elected by those people who are smart enough to go out and vote correctly.

For those idiots complaining about the 'uncounted' Florida votes that 'gave' the election to W, I find it amazing that the rest of the 'counted' votes were solely for Bush.

I think it is more likely that some votes on either side were discarded, due to the fact that some people could not follow the instructions, and make their choice clearly as the rest of the State did.

I know my vote counted. I sincerely hope yours did too. If you think it didn't, then my advice to you is to not waste your time again next week, just stay home.
